It has been turbulent times, due to the ending of the shop Kalimera Hellas. I have been working with A LOT of things since it closed in July 2012. And I have also got engaged, so that has been taken some time as well, as you know. My better half have actually lived in Rhodes for 8 years, so she is probably more Greek than I am. We have been to Greece together 6 times in the last couple of years, or is it 7? Well - last year we also went to Crete, a terrible little place called Hersonissos. But the funniest trip ever, was our trip to Spinalonga. We went by bus to Agios Nikolaos, and jumped on another bus there, to go to Elounda, to take a little boat to "The Island"!
At the time of our arrival, we saw the little white boat, that supposedly where going to take us this little trip over from Elounda to Spinalonga - haha. All the other passengers where speaking fluently "blabla" in different languages - but no English. As we where approaching the Island, the boat decided to take a totally other route!
And around the big peninsula - out into Mirabello Bay, and one and a half hour later, we where back in Agios Nikolaos!!!!! Then we had to run like He.. to catch the bus to Elounda, and sprint omboard a little boat that took us to????? Yes, you guessed right - The Island, Spinalonga! Well, we saw much sea that day, and a lovely landscape. Today, we manage to laugh about it, but it took a while to see the humor of it! And by the way - The Island, Spinalonga, is a "must see"!
